According to the most recent Census estimates over 293,000⁽¹⁾ residents call Frederick County home. Due to the County's superior quality of life, Frederick County's population has been growing faster than any other County in Maryland, with the 7th largest population in the state.

The County Seat is the City of Frederick and is home to 82,175⁽¹⁾ people. The City of Frederick is the second largest Maryland city and also has the highest population growth rate among the state's municipalities.
