What is Business Appreciation Week (BAW)?
Frederick County Ambassadors take the opportunity during Business Appreciation Week to thank businesses for their contributions to the Frederick economy.
How often does BAW occur?
One week a year, usually in September is "officially" Business Appreciation Week.
How can Frederick County Ambassadors visit a business?
As long as the business is located in Frederick County, they would qualify to be visited. First preference is given to businesses that have NOT been visited during the two previous years.
Who are the Frederick County Ambassadors?
Elected State, County and Municipal leaders, County & Municipal Department Representatives and Representatives from: The Chamber of Commerce, State of Maryland, and the local colleges.
How many ambassadors will visit each business? How long with the visit last?
There will be approximately three to five ambassadors per company visit and the visit will last less than 45 minutes.
What should we expect during the 45-minute visit?
The ambassadors ask a few questions to learn more about your business. (Size, future plans, business climate, etc.) You may give a brief tour, provide literature and/or discuss issues (opportunities/problems).
When will I know who is visiting my company & when it will occur?
The date/time of your visit will be mailed directly prior to the visit.
